Marion County Emergency Operations Center
Location: Ocala, Florida
Client: Marion County
Architect: Architecture Studios
This $4.5 million expansion sits adjacent to the existing Sheriff’s Operation Center. The Emergency Operations Center (EOC) is a 15,600 square foot, single-story, building and is built to withstand sustained winds up to 160 miles per hour. The EOC is designed to be a self-sustained building for a period of up to 72-hours. Additional offices and meeting rooms have been incorporated into the EOC to supplement the existing operations center.
The assignment represents one of several projects that Moss is constructing for this public agency under a five-year continuing contract.
