Publix Supermarkets — North Miami

As construction manager, and while working under a negotiated contract, Moss has worked closely with this grocery chain giant on eight projects in South Florida over the past five years exceeding $64.5 million. This project involved constructing a 39,000 SF replacement of the existing store that was situated between 2 existing retail spaces. This project was particularly challenging because it was directly affected by 2 hurricanes, Katrina and Wilma, during the course of construction. The staff had to overcome productivity losses, manpower shortages, material shortages and FPL power transformer delays. Despite the many set backs encountered from an active hurricane season, this project was completed ahead of the original schedule date.
