“Project of the Year” for SE Florida and Caribbean

April 16, 2016 / Press Release, South Florida

Moss & Associates is pleased to announce that the Urban Land Institute (ULI) has chosen Jupiter’s 10-acre Harbourside Place as Project of the Year/Private Sector for Southeast Florida and the Caribbean.

Moss & Associates was the construction manager at-risk (CM at-risk) for the $150-million mixed-use entertainment complex and town center that opened in the fall of 2014.

Developed by Allied Capital and Development of South Florida, the project includes a four-star Wyndham Grant hotel, 60,000 square feet of retail shopping, Class A office space, seven restaurants, a marina, outdoor amphitheater, parking and a 1,100-foot Riverwalk promenade guaranteeing the public’s access to the Intracoastal Waterway.

“This is not simply a project, but a regional destination for Jupiter’s residents and visitors alike,” said Moss & Associates President Scott Moss. “Allied Capital’s vision for Harbourside was fulfilled through careful thought, imagination and dedicated teamwork.”

In granting the honor at its recent Vision Awards banquet in Miami, the ULI cited the “rich mixture of massing, color and detailing” in Harbourside’s two-, four- and five-story buildings. The ULI cited the project’s partnerships with numerous nonprofits through “inventive community service projects,” its contribution of more than $500,000 to the annual property tax base and a complex financing package including a “successful EB-5 [immigration investor] component.”

Other team firms the UBI cited as critical to the project’s planning and implementation are Leo A Daly architects, Gentile Glas Holloway O’Mahoney + Associates land planning and landscape architecture, Thomas Engineering, ONM& J structural engineers, and Isiminger & Stubbs Engineering.
