Rikers Island Admissions/Mental Health Facility

Moss, as part of a joint venture with Skanska, provided preconstruction services to the City of New York Department of Design and Construction on a 1,489 bed, 860,000 GSF secure mental health treatment center and infirmary. The therapeutic environment was designed to accommodate various levels of mental acuity. Programs focused on clinical treatment of illness and chemical dependency in order to foster a transition toward community reentry.
