Edwin Perkins

President, Solar

Edwin is responsible for the day-to-day operations and long-range planning of Moss’ expanding solar business unit. He specifically oversees all strategic planning, development, preconstruction, management, and completion of utility-scale solar projects throughout North America and has played an instrumental role in the growth of Moss solar portfolio.

Edwin has worked in the construction and engineering industry for more than 15 years. He has an array of experience, including solar energy, high-rise residential, garages, retail, and major sports facilities.

He joined Moss in 2007 as a Project Engineer. In 2012, he was named Director of Solar Initiatives and asked to spearhead the company’s entry into the solar market, where he brought innovative construction solutions to the table that helped drive down the cost of building utility-scale solar projects. Over the next few years, Moss grew into one of the largest solar contractors in the country. He was named Vice President of Solar in 2017, Senior Vice President of Solar in July 2020, and President of Solar in November 2020.

Edwin holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. He also earned a Master of Science in Construction Management and a Bachelor of Design in Architecture, both from the University of Florida. Edwin is a certified general contractor in Arkansas, Louisiana, South Carolina, North Carolina, Mississippi, and Tennessee.

He is a member of YPO, a Terawatt member of SEIA, and a member of SEIA’s Board of Directors. He’s also a board member of the University of Florida’s Sustainability and the Built Environment Green Building Learning Collaborative.
