Moss Awarded Northwest Elementary School Contract
HUDSON, Fla. – Moss Construction has been awarded a $14 million contract to renovate Northwest Elementary School in Hudson, FL.
The elementary school in Pasco County was constructed in 1973 and has been adequately maintained through the years, but is in need of major remodeling to modernize the facilities. The project began in July of this year and is expected to be completed in June of 2021.
“We’re delighted to work with the District School Board of Pasco County and that they chose Moss to complete this renovation project,” said Toby Manulak, Vice President and Project Executive of Moss. “With these modern updates to the school, we hope to provide the students and faculty with an even better educational environment.”
The renovations will bring the school up to current ADA regulations, life safety code requirements, introduce natural lighting, provide modern technology as well as upgrade the major building systems. In addition, there will be a remodeling of an existing Exceptional Student Education building which will include new floor finishes, wall finishes, ceilings, cabinetry, doors, lighting low voltage systems and fire sprinkler systems.
Tarpon Springs, Florida based Hoffman Architects, PA. is the architect of the project.
