FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Today, Moss Construction announced that it has promoted Edwin Perkins to President of Moss Solar. A construction industry veteran, Perkins has been with Moss for 13 years. He began his career with the company as a project engineer and received increasing, broad experience along the way including director of solar initiatives, senior vice president of solar, and now president of solar.

In his new capacity, Perkins will be responsible for strategic business planning, and execution of utility scale solar projects throughout North America and the Caribbean.

“Edwin has played an instrumental role in the exponential growth of Moss’ solar division. said Scott Moss, CEO of the construction management firm. “ His extensive experience has allowed him to understand every aspect of a project, and he’s been an integral part of our expansion across the country as well as an innovative leader.”

We are always taking a fresh look at the process and finding ways to drive-down the cost of building solar plants, increasingly making solar energy a viable low-cost source of electricity. That’s what sets our team apart from the rest,” Perkins said. “This promotion is very much an honor and I look forward our team’s continued success.”

Having installed more than 5,000 MW, Moss is a leading contractor in the solar sector nation-wide. Edwin holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
