Moss Promotes Kim Gessner to Vice President, Deputy General Counsel

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – This week Moss Construction announced that it has promoted Kim Gessner to the position of Vice President, Deputy General Counsel. Gessner has more than 16 years of legal experience, with a focus on commercial construction.

In her new capacity, Gessner will provide strategic business counseling and advice to the company’s executive team as a key member of the legal leadership team. Additionally, she will conduct negotiations with clients and subcontractors, estimate risk, train staff in all aspects of compliance with federal, state and local regulations as well as be integrally involved in all methods of dispute resolution for matters involving the company.

Before joining Moss in 2017, Gessner served as counsel and co-chair of the construction practice group at Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney, PC. Gessner earned her J.D. from Nova Southeastern University. She is board certified in construction law by The Florida Bar; is a member of the Legislative Committee for the Association of General Contractors; recently served 6 years on the construction law board certification committee for the Florida Bar; and is a member of the construction law committee at the Broward County Bar Association.
