Port Everglades Terminal 4
The Terminal 4 renovations upgraded the entire facility to meet current cruise industry standards and better accommodate the needs of larger ships and passengers. Interior improvements included 50 additional check-in counters, new restrooms, improved lighting and acoustics, replacement of the single escalator and older elevators with two new escalators and two new elevators, and a high-efficiency air conditioning system. Exterior improvements include new covered ground transportation areas and 172 additional parking spaces. A second boarding bridge was also added to expedite the passenger embarkation and debarkation processes.
The Terminal renovations were implemented specifically to comply with LEED® guidelines and support Broward County’s sustainability efforts. The Terminal achieved LEED Certification making it Port Everglade’s first LEED Certified project. Additional incorporated elements include artwork by Xavier Cortada and Dale Chihuly.
