Red Rock Correctional Facility

This new 300,133-square-foot, 1,681-bed corrections facility was constructed on a 106-acre site in Eloy, Arizona. Housing consisted of four 49,436-square-foot, 360-bed general population-housing units; and one 38,156-square-foot, 234-bed segregation-housing unit.

A 20,474 central services building included food services, commissary, warehouse, mechanical rooms, intake, medical ward, inside administration, central control, laundry, and contact visitation.

This facility was constructed to accommodate inmates from Hawaii and Alaska which required extensive programs space to meet the inmate rights of their respective states. A 17,200-square-foot programs building was constructed on the North perimeter. It includes classroom space, workshop, vocational education classrooms, computer lab, wood shop, leather ship, and a general library.

7,427 linear feet of secure fencing, including a stun fence, was constructed around the perimeter. To support the facility, a 33,800-square-foot water treatment facility was constructed outside of the secure perimeter.
