Saguaro Correctional Facility

This 385,036-square-foot, 2,043-bed corrections facility was constructed on a 106-acre site in Eloy, Arizona. Housing consisted of four 49,436-square-foot, 360-bed general population-housing units; and one 38,996-square-foot, 264-bed segregation-housing unit.

The central services building included a cafeteria, kitchen, commissary, warehouse, mechanical rooms, intake, medical ward, inside administration, central control, and laundry.

This facility was constructed to accommodate inmates from Hawai’i, which required extensive programs space to meet inmate rights. A 17,210-square-foot male programs building was constructed on the North perimeter and a 12,600-square-foot female programs building was constructed on the East perimeter adjacent to the female housing unit.

8,336 linear feet of secure fencing, including a stun fence, was constructed around the perimeter. To support the facility, a 33,800-square-foot water treatment facility was constructed outside of the secure perimeter.
