The Henry Student Living
The Tyler Street Residential project is a 23-story building located across the Hillsborough River from the University campus at the intersection of Tyler Street and Ashley Drive.
The 450,000 SQFT building has 7 floors of parking and 16 floors of living area that includes 188 apartments, a fitness center, club room, gaming room and and an outdoor amenity deck with pool overlooking the University of Tampa campus.
CASE STUDY:
During an effort to reduce cost to the overall budget our project team felt the plumbing system could be more efficient. They engaged one of our key subcontractor partners and reviewed the systems and confirmed this was the case. Our team and the plumbing subcontractor provided suggestions on how to revise the venting, stacking and routing of the sanitary and rainwater systems that were incorporated into the design documents. This exercise decreased the number of risers required and underground work needed resulting in a savings to the project of over $800k.
